Kent's official book launch and signing party for his new book "Asking about Asking: Mastering the Art of Conversational Fundraising" will take place at the Bartlesville Community Center on April 5th, 2011. Prior to the launch, Kent will conduct a fundraising workshop, based on his book, for Executive Directors, Development Staff, Board members and other nonprofit volunteers. This training day was presented by The AFP Sierra Chapter in partnership with the Alliance of Nevada Nonprofits, the Nevada Grant Professionals Association and the Planned Giving Round Table of Northern Nevada. Kent was chosen as the recipient of the 9th annual Cornerstone Award, presented by the Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church of Tulsa, OK. He was specifically chosen because he is a visionary. Kent presented the morning training session "7 Reasons Campaigns Fail" at the AFP Arkansas Chapter's fall conference. He was also the keynote speaker for the lunch session, presenting his book topic "Asking about Asking" and conducting a lively, interactive discussion.
